Commitment:

1) All performance, including football games, basketball games, playoff games pep rallies, and other selected events are required, unless otherwise stated. If it appears on the calendar on our website, it is required!

 

Practice:

Summer- PE 162 F June -July

Cheer/Dance- 8:30-10:30 PM Monday thru Wednesday

 

Fall/Spring-

Cheer- 8:00-10:00 PM Monday and Wednesday

Dance- 7:15-11:00 PM Monday and Wednesday

Everyone- 10:00 AM- 1:00 PM Fridays

 

There will be extra practices scheduled during winter break and spring break- these are NOT vacation times!

You must be enrolled in the Spirit Squad Class to participate; however, you do not need to be a full time student. If you are a full time student, and are paid up in team fees, you will receive priority registration! In spring for competition, you must be enrolled in a minimum of 9 units, unless you are graduating/transferring-you are then only required to enroll in one class.

 

NOTE- ACCOTDING TO FERPA, COACHES WILL NOT BE IN CONTACT WITH PARENTS REGARDING YOUR PARTICIPATION IN ANY WAY WITH THE FULLERTON COLLEGE SPIRIT SQUAD.

 

Retreat- Mandatory retreat is scheduled for August TBD on campus.

 

Uniforms- All team members are expected to purchase their own uniforms/costume. NO JEWELRY at practice or performances, cheer must maintain short fingernails.

 

Fundraisers-

Cookie Dough November (Sell 30 tubs @ $14 per tub)

Monthly restaurant events- last Wednesday of the month

If you sell MORE than the required amount, money will be held in the Spirit Squad account on campus in your name for future payments.

Stunting- ABSOLUTELY NO STUNTING WITHOUT COACH PRESENT

 

Representation-

No team member shall represent Fullerton College Spirit Squad in any manner that is deemed inappropriate in or out of uniform, or on the internet. This includes inappropriate photos or comments on Facebook, Myspace, Twitter, Email and so on. Poor representation including display of a poor attitude is grounds for IMMEDIATE dismissal, no refunds. Drugs, alcohol, and violence are all reasons for immediate dismissal.

 

Team fees and fundraisers cover:

Coaches

Choreography

Uniforms

Warm ups

Practice Clothes

The above fees do not count toward any travel or competitions. If there are funds remaining after covering everything on the list, funds may be used for travel.

Payment Schedule:

First team fee: New members $400, returning members $200

Team Fees are due the 15th of the month, EVERY month from May to March. You will sit out at practice if you are not up to date on your team fees/fundraisers. Team fees are $200 for dance and $100 for cheer.

 

 

ALL MONEY IS NON-REFUNDABLE. If you owe money and you either quit or are dismissed from the team, grades will be withheld until all fees have been paid and checks have cleared.

 

There is a “3 strikes, you’re out” policy. If you do not follow the contract, you may receive a strike; once you have earned 3 strikes, you WILL be dismissed, without refunds.

 

Grades are lowered for Unexcused absences- 3 unexcused absences = 3 strikes. 3 tardies add up to one unexcused absence.

 

Alix has the FINAL word on ALL matters.

At tryouts, submit this page, a recent non-returnable photo, waiver, $20 tryout fee and application.
